Max Bailebuilds digital products from idea to production.
I work with founders, agencies and product teams to turn ideas and designs into polished, production-ready products — with a focus on thoughtful interfaces, solid engineering and code built to last.

A movie and TV tracking app built around the way people actually watch — from individual episodes to entire seasons, rewatches and everything in between.

From interface
to production.
I work across the product development process, from translating an existing design into code to building the systems behind a complete web application.
Web applications
Building products, not just pages.
Full-featured web applications with React and Next.js — from authentication and data flows to APIs, product interfaces and deployment.
Frontend development
Turning good design into good software.
Precise, responsive implementation of existing designs, with close attention to interaction, accessibility, performance and the details that make an interface feel finished.
Product development
Taking features from idea to release.
I can work beyond the interface when a project needs it — shaping technical decisions, connecting data and services, building features and carrying them through to production.
I'd rather show you something running.
I'm Max, an independent developer based in the south of France. I work with founders, agencies and product teams to build digital products for the web and mobile.
I care about both sides of the work: what people experience on screen and what makes the product reliable underneath it. That means respecting the design, understanding the product behind it, and making technical decisions that won't become a problem six months later.
Build something real early. I prefer working software to long stretches of abstraction. Getting a real version into the browser early makes it easier to test assumptions, expose problems and improve the right things.
Respect the design. Implementation shouldn't be where a carefully considered interface loses its character. I pay attention to typography, spacing, responsive behaviour, interaction and the small details between the obvious breakpoints.
Leave a codebase worth keeping. Shipping is important, but so is what happens afterwards. I aim for understandable architecture, sensible abstractions and code another developer can confidently continue working with.
Have a project in mind?
Whether you have a design ready to build, an existing product that needs another pair of hands, or an idea that needs turning into something real, I'd be happy to hear about it.
